Meet Lucero.
Lucero Harris, owner/founder of Operation Unbroken, was raised in Kilgore, Tx. She and her husband, Matthew, left East Texas as he served our country in the United States Army. After his medical discharge in 2011, the family came back home to raise their two children, Stephen and Elizabeth, in our community. In 2017, Lucero enlisted in the United States Army Reserves and currently holds the non-commissioned officer rank of sergeant.
Through her children’s involvement, Lucero became involved in a local non-profit as a board member which led to eventually being hired on as the executive director. For the past 4 years, she has focused her attention on how to reach our East Texas communities and ways to promote, connect and help each other.
At the same time, the couple opened up Operation Unbroken. Through this retail store, Lucero has been able to make connections and get to know many organizations that are veteran focused.
Lucero is also a recent graduate of Leadership Longview which allowed her to get to know the city of Longview in depth.
Lucero values her time because time away from her kids and family has been her biggest sacrifice thus far. However, she also believes time is the greatest gift to give to someone or an organization. She is committed to serving Operation True North due to the mission that she knows is needed in our area.
